Lecture on the History of the Comics and Annual Meeting of Darien Historical Society

A Lecture by Noted Cartoonist, Brian Walker, on A History of The Comics. Brian Walker has a diverse background in professional cartooning and cartoon scholarship. Since 1984, he has been part of the creative team that produces the comic strips, Beetle Bailey and Hi and Lois. He has written, edited or contributed to thirty-five books on cartoon art, was the director of the Museum of Cartoon Art for eighteen years, has served as curator for seventy cartoon exhibitions and is currently the Chairman of the Connecticut Chapter of the National Cartoonists Society. He just finished The Comics - The Complete Collection, which received an excellent review in the New York Times on June 3, 2011. Short Annual Meeting of Society to follow.
