It’s Never Too Soon: Decoding Your Child Before, During, and After the Transition to Middle School

Calling all parents of 5th (and even 4th!) graders: Education expert Mark Dansereau will give a talk on what parents need to know about 10-14 year-olds to help them thrive in class and at home. With a special appreciation of and affection for this challenging age group, Dansereau brings years of experience, humor, and intelligence to the subject. He offers practical insight and concrete strategies to bring out the best in your child and help prepare yourself for this next stage. You will learn how to decode a young adolescent in order to use the right approach at the right time—and when it’s better to let things go. He will include a special emphasis on the role of the internet during this crucial stage of development. Dansereau includes small breakout groups and workshop activities in his presentations.
