“WHAT IS THE VALUE OF SPORTS?” A Panel Discussion
Reality check - What is the real value of sports? How can you help your child get the most out of sports at all levels and at all ages? How do you parent your student athlete, what helps, what doesn't? How do you manage their expectations, your expectations, and avoid burnout at an early age? The YWCA Parent Awareness Network has gathered a panel of experts on youth and high school sports: coaches, program directors, and former and future college athletes. Join them at the Darien High School Auditorium on Tuesday, March 30th from 7:00-9:00 PM.
John Keleher, Athletic Director for the Darien High School, will moderate the panel. The panelists include Tony Farren, President of Darien Little League, Chuck Leitner, Vice President of Girls Darien Youth Lacrosse, Marj Trifone, Darien High School Girls Swimming Coach, Rob Trifone, Darien High School Football Coach, Mo Minicus, Darien High School Field Hockey Coach, Jeff Brameier, Darien High School Boys Lacrosse Coach, and Student Athlete, Hannah Lyons from The DHS Track team. The presentation is essential for any parent of a child who plays a sport. Come with your questions.
