St. Luke's Parish School Makes Way for Ducklings

"The children are getting to feed the ducks, hold the ducks, and even watch them swim in their classroom in a make-shift bathtub."

St. Luke's Parish School submitted this announcement and these pictures. Due to technical difficulties, an editor has helped them upload this to Darien Patch:

Just in time for spring, the students at Saint Luke's Parish School in Darien are getting an exciting hands-on learning experience about one of their favorite animals, ducks.

Teacher Krista Longo and her class watched as six eggs hatched and six ducklings were born before their very eyes.

The children are getting to feed the ducks, hold the ducks, and even watch them swim in their classroom in a make-shift bathtub.

Many parents are now requesting sleep-overs with the adorable ducklings at their homes. Once the ducks are big enough, they will be released into a local pond.
