Summer slowdown? We don’t think so

Many businesses see a slowdown in the summer months as clients and customers go on vacation and everyone is taking some time to relax. While the summer slowdown doesn’t mean you should shut your whole operation down and sprint to the beach, it also doesn’t mean you need to be full steam ahead. We think there should be a happy medium, and with these tips you should be able to refresh your business while still finding time to be poolside.

  1. Grow your network. Take this time to really get into social media, because that’s what it’s all about these days. Any social media network you can get onto will put you in the right direction for meeting potential clients and customers of all ages.
  2. Rework your website. When people Google your business, the first thing they will find is your website. While many people say don’t judge a book by its cover, you want to put your best foot forward and really show your style through your website. Keep it fresh, simple and easy to navigate so your clients won’t have any problems finding your contact info.
  3. Keep touching base. Don’t forget to reach out to your clients every once in a while if you aren’t still working with them. They may be relaxing too but they need to know you are still thinking of them
  4. Make a list. The summer slowdown is a perfect time to sit and reflect on your progress this year. Write down all of your goals for your business, big and small, and you’ll feel great as you check them off the list.
  5. Take a break. Lastly, don’t forget about yourself! Take some days off to spend time with your family and friends or just to read a book. It is always a good idea to step back from your work so you can come back completely refreshed!
