Seven members of the Darien girls hockey team have been honored by the FCIAC. Sara Shaker and Ellie Bullitt were named to the all-FCIAC first team, Emma Tuzinkiewicz, Emily Tropsa and Lauren Perkins were selected to the second team, and Emily Christensen and Ellie Bennett earned honorable mention status. Darien (16-8) lost to New Canaan in the FCIAC championship game (7-1), then fell to Ridgefield in the state semifinals (5-0).

Monday marked the start of practices for Darien's spring sports teams, with the baseball, golf, lacrosse, softball, tennis, track, boys volleyball, and sailing teams kicking off their respective seasons.
The season's first scrimmage is set for Thursday, when the boys lacrosse team goes up against John Jay High School in Cross River, N.Y. (4:15 p.m.).
