Darien is dominating the FCIAC spring playoffs like no other school in the league.
On Wednesday, the boys volleyball squad became the third team from Darien to reach the final in a spring sport, joining the boys and girls lacrosse units.

On Thursday, Darien will look to earn yet another championship berth when the Blue Wave girls softball team faces Stamford in the semifinals (5 p.m. at Fairfield University).
So far, Darien teams are a combined 6-0 in the playoffs.

Darien Youth Baseball & Softball Results
- Baseball > Minor League > National: Miceli Insurance rallied from a five-run deficit to defeat BMW of Darien 10-9 on Tuesday. Charlie Zuro's bases-loaded triple helped BMW of Darien jump out to an 8-3 lead. Miceli tied the game 8-8 on Jack Whittier's bases-loaded walk and run-scoring hits by Ryan Eppley and Quenten Ehlers. After BMW grabbed 9-8 lead, Miceli rallied again on Austin Hagander's RBI single and Justin Laughlin's sacrifice fly.
- Baseball > JR Schoen AAA League > National: Sam Boston who reached base in every at-bat as Conte Garbage and Recycling defeated William Pitt Sothebys 14-11 on Tuesday. Jack Sparks and Henry Sparkman combined for three hits and six RBI for WPS while Jackson Bell went 2-for 2 with two runs scored.
WEDNESDAY'S RESULTS
- Softball: Darien 15, Norwich Free Academy 1 (5) — The Blue Wave routed NFA in a makeup game from earlier in the season. Kelly Nicoletti earned her first win for Darien, which received two hits apiece from Olivia Gozdz, Nicole Buch and Emma Hamilton.
- Boys volleyball: Darien 3, Bridgeport Central 1 — The Blue Wave fought off a stiff challenge from the Hilltoppers to advance to the finals with a 28-30, 25-20, 25-18, 25-18 victory at Fairfield Ludlowe. Calder Billhardt had 23 kills for Darien, which will face Staples on Friday in a rematch of last year's final. The Wreckers are seeking their eighth consecutive league championship.
