2nd Annual Fairfield County Walk for Pancreatic Cancer
Hundreds of Fairfield County area residents whose lives have been impacted by pancreatic cancer will join the 2nd Annual Fairfield County Pancratic Cancer Research Walk at Bethel High School Track.
Pancreatic cancer is the nation's 4th leading cause of cancer deaths. In 2010, more than 43,000 Americans were diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and close to 37,000 died of the disease. The overall five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is six percent. There are no early detection tests, no effective treatments and unless the cancer is surgically removed in it's earliest stages, there is no cure.
Registration Opens at 9am, Walk starts at 10:30
