Darien YMCA Rugby Member Registration

DARIEN YMCA FLAG RUGBY
For Boys & Girls in grades 6th-8th

Flag rugby is a non-contact sport similar to flag football. It's perfect for kids of all sizes and abilitites. The program is open to boys and girls in grades 6th through 8th. The program is designed to be a very safe, non-contact easy to play game. Flag rugby promotes excellent skill development, teamwork, health, and fitness. The emphasis is on learning the game, rules, skills, teamwork and having fun! No experience needed!

The program will be run by Darien H.S. Asst. Rugby coach Joe Pietrafeso. Joe played rugby at Greenwich H.S. He then went on to play at Central CT State Univ. where they qualified for the Division II National Championship. He has been coaching rugby since 2003. He will be assisted by Darien H.S. rugby players.

Coach Pietrafeso: " My goals for this program are for everyone involved to have fun, be safe, and respect all. I look forward to meeting all the players and parents and I'm excited to introduce the game I love so much."

Registration:
Darien YMCA Members: March 1st at 10:00 a.m.
Darien YMCA Non-Members: March 8th at 10:00 a.m.

**SPACE IS LIMITED**

The program will begin March 28th and end June 2nd.
Wednesdays 3:30-4:30 @ Middlesex Middle School (upper plateau)
Saturdays 9:30-11:00 @ Darien High School (grass field behind football field)
