To help parents navigate the sports maze, sports journalist, Mark Hyman will discuss, “How to Win at Youth Sports” at Middlesex Middle School Auditorium on Thursday, April 28th, at 7:30 PM.
Mark Hyman, author of Until It Hurts: America's Obsession with Youth Sports and How It Harms Our Kids is a sports journalist based in Baltimore, Maryland, with a special interest in the role of adults in sports for children. He writes for many publications including The New York Times, Sports Illustrated and BusinessWeek. He is also an athlete as well as the parent of an athlete.
The program, provided free of charge, is geared towards parents of children of all ages and is sponsored by the YWCA Parent Awareness Network and Darien Library. It is part of "Beyond Sports: Celebrating the Arts," a collaborative series brought to you by Darien Library and Parent Awareness.
