DARIEN, CT – April 3, 2012 – The YWCA Darien/Norwalk is pleased to host a new race in town. The YW Race: Against Racism, For Empowering Women will take place on Sunday, April 29th, 2012.
The 5-mile course will begin at Cherry Lawn Park, turn on Brookside, Stephen Mather, West Norwalk Road, Maywood, Point O’Woods, Sylvan Road, back to Brookside and end at Cherry Lawn.
The entry fee for the YW Race is $30 before April 15th, and $40 after April 15th and on race day. Registration on race day will begin at 7:15am, with the race start at 8:00am.

The Winner’s Recognition Ceremony will take place at 9:30am with the top male and female finishers each receiving a $100 gift certificate to Darien Social. All pre-registered participants will receive a limited edition YW Race T-shirt.
Proceeds from the race will go to the YWCA Darien/Norwalk’s Job Search Support Program, supporting women in lower Fairfield County across all aspects of the job search process including building computer skills, one-on-one resume writing assistance, and individual job search coaching.
