Jeff Kratky of Darien to Play Lacrosse for University of Virginia

Jeff Kratky of Darien signed the National Letter of Intent to play lacrosse for the University of Virginia.

Jeff Kratky of Darien, a senior at the Taft School, in Watertown, CT, has signed the National Letter of Intent to play for the University of Virginia Cavaliers men's lacrosse team next year. 

Kratky has been a Varsity lacrosse starter since freshman year as a face off midfielder.  In 2012, Inside Lacrosse ranked Kratky the 44th overall player nationally in the class of 2013.  He was named All Western New England Prep School Athletic Association (WNEPSAA) Division One Team his sophomore and junior seasons. 

He was on the Under Armour New England Boys Lacrosse team in 2011 and 2012, winning the national championship in 2011 and runner up in the 2012 championship game.  In 2011 ESPNHS ranked him the #31st player in the national class of 2013.  To date Jeff has earned nine varsity letters in football, wrestling, and lacrosse at Taft.

University of Virginia has won four NCAA titles in the last 20 years and reached the final four thirteen times.  Most recently they won the NCAA title in 2011.
