Police in Connecticut and around the country will be on the lookout Sunday night for intoxicated drivers leaving Super Bowl parties. "The game is expected to draw more interest than usual in Connecticut where there are fans of both the New England Patriots and New York Giants," according to CBS Connecticut. State police say they'll be out in force that night.

The State Police Traffic Services Unit, beefed up by other troopers on patrol, planned to be out in force conducting roving DUI patrols as early as Thursday evening in preparation for the historically busy Super Bowl weekend, state police said in a news release.

restaurant in Darien will have something for little girls on Sunday who might feel a bit left out in the hoopla surrounding a bunch of guys playing a guys' game.

For little princesses (and you know who they are), the restaurant has a "Fairytale Princess Meet and Greet Lunch" which it describes as "a regal afternoon of fondue. We will have our own adult princess to provide fun and entertainment for all the younger royals who would like to join her from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Reservations for this event are recommended and will be accepted between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m." Cost: $29.95 per adult/$19.95 per child.

New Canaan's is offering takeout trays of food, including chili, fried ribs, Irish nachos, cheeseburger bites, wings with bleu cheese & celery. They recommend ordering early for afternoon pick up on Saturday or anytime on Super Bowl Sunday.

You could spend the Super Bowl at in South Norwalk, where you can watch the game while enjoying an open bar and dinner from 6 p.m. to the end of the game for $40.

of Fairfield will host a happy hour on Super Bowl Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m.: $3 PBRs, and a Bud Light pitcher and large order of wings for $15. Don’t forget —Vinny’s caters.

Fairfield’s The Shack will be giving out free halftime hot dogs and offer a game time menu of 50-cent wings, $3 domestic drafts, $2 pizza and drink specials, as well as nine big screen TVs to watch the game on.
