Health & Fitness

12/24/12

On Christmas Eve, 2012, CMED received a call for an unknown problem at 9:18 and dispatched 2 Post units 3 minutes later at 9:21. The Post units arrived on scene at 9:25 and 9:28. The Post units must have been unable to handle the patient because CMED dispatched SEMS unit 205 which I believe is located at SEMS HQ on Long Ridge Road. Unit 202, located in Glenbrook, is the closest unit to Darien but it must have been on a call in Stamford. The SEMS unit 205 arrived on scene at 9:40, some 22 minutes after CMED received the call. This is completely unacceptable. Stay tuned for a Merry Christmas unless you need a paramedic in Darien, then good luck. Walter Casey
