12/27/12 Continued

The last call on 12/27/12 involved SEMS unit 203 which I believe is at Tully. Apparently, unit 202 in Glenbrook was not available. The call involved a traffic accident but no hospitalization was involved. It took 8 minutes for CMED to dispatch paramedics but it looks like the paramedics were called off en route because it took the paramedics half the time it took Post to arrive on scene after dispatch. That is not possible coming from Tully. I go to Tully frequently. It appears that SEMS unit was called off. I believe a call like this is included in response time data. It should not be. It incorrectly lowers the total and average response times. Only calls that see paramedics respond to the actual scene should be included. This gives a true picture of what the real response times are. Stay tuned. Walter Casey.
