The Uninformed Post 53 Supporters

By far the most prevalent type of Post 53 supporter is someone who has very little knowledge of Post. Most people I talk to have no understanding of the difference between EMTs and paramedics. People don't think about paramedic response times and the potentially deadly difference in response times within Darien. People are just thankful that someone is there to help them in a medical emergency and assume that they will receive the appropriate standard of care. They are wrong but don't know it. They do not want to appear to criticize or even question a group that volunteers to help them. It is a great challenge for me to educate these good but uninformed Darien residents.
