For the first time in over 20 years there is a contested race for the Board of Education, with four candidates running for three open seats. You have the opportunity to meet them all and hear them respond to the questions most important to you at the Board of Education Candidates Forum hosted by the Darien League of Women Voters (LWV) and the Council of Darien School Parents (CDSP) on Thursday, October 18th.
The LWV and the CDSP are hosting this special forum just for the Board of Education race in the auditorium of the Darien Library. The evening will begin with a reception at 6:30pm and the formal program, moderated by Charlotte Garrell will run from 7-8:15pm.
The four Board of Education candidates, Betsy Haggerty-Ross (R), Sarah Zuro (R), Patty McCormick (D) and Katie Stein (D) will each deliver a brief opening statement and then answer questions submitted in writing by those in attendance.
