I’ve purchased many tickets for DHS team car washes but never managed to actually make it to the car wash. When your daughter and husband are working the 8:30-11 shift at the DHS Swim and Dive car wash, you’re a bit more motivated to redeem your ticket (or in my case, pay at the door, which allows for spur of the moment sales).
If you’ve never taken advantage of these weekend car washes, I highly recommend you do, regardless of the team doing the washing.
It is a very professional operation and these girls, armed with power washers, buckets of soapy water and towels, work fast, and furiously. Since this is the major fundraiser for the team, the girls are highly motivated, enthusiastic, efficient and they work hard to make sure you leave satisfied.
They do a great job while clearly having good time—and they play fun music that even the adults can recognize while your car gets washed.
So next time you see students selling tickets, support the team, buy a ticket and use it! You’ll drive away satisfied and smiling.
