The new co-presidents of the Adult Advisory Board, Kelly Lesko and Monica Billeter, are ready to lead , a non-profit organization, into its next phase of growth.

For more than 20 years, The Depot has opened its doors to the youth in town, offering a welcoming, relaxed judgment-free and safe "home away from home," while providing opportunities for personal growth, leadership development and community outreach.

In addition to continuing with this mission, the new co-presidents will strive to raise awareness about all the programs that The Depot offers to the youth of Darien, and the community at large, as well as organizing various fundraisers throughout the year that will help sustain the organization for years to come.

Most Darienites don't know that in addition to being a Youth Center run by and for students, The Depot hosts a number of empowerment programs such as Self-defense, Cop Shop, Lunch Bunch, Global Girls, Police Academy, and Students Against Destructive Decisions. The Student Governing Board and its student members also provide volunteer services to the Red Cross, the , the , Safe Rides, and the Darien Road Race, to name a few.

The Depot will be hosting an informational coffee for parents only on Oct. 11 at 9:30 a.m., to allow those interested to come and learn more about what The Depot does, and how they can get involved. For more information about The Depot, visit their website at www.dariendepot.org.
