Pear Tree Point Beach Park

The smaller of Darien’s two public beaches, Pear Tree Point Beach Park is actually itself two beaches, which encompass approximately eight acres at the mouth of the Goodwives River.

Pear Tree Point’s amenities include a bathing area, a picnic area, a bathhouse, a concession stand, public grills, a boat launch ramp, with picnic tables and grills, and a gazebo overlooking the Sound. The Darien Boat Club is also located at this beach.

Seasonal Passes are available to residents and town employees for $35 per vehicle. Passes are $65 for nonresident taxpayers and $100 for summer residents. Resident senior citizens receive one free permit per family.

Daily parking permits may be purchased for $40 at either Weed Beach or Pear Tree Point. Parking lots are available to all beach-goers, regardless of residency.

Boat Launch Permits are $45 and are required at both beaches. Daily boat launch permits are $65. Trailers must be detached from vehicles and parked in designated locations.
