Founded in 1927, Darien High School serves public school students in grades 9-12 inMore Darien. Since its original opening, DHS has moved to several different locations, the most recent being in 2005 to a new, $75 million building located on the same campus as the previous building. Traditionally, at each graduation ceremony, retiring staff receive honorary diplomas from DHS. The DHS emblem is composed of an open book with the Latin phrase Veritas Vos Liberabit, which means "The Truth Will Set You Free" and behind the book is a lit torch symbolizing enlightenment.
