One of the two Metro-North Railroad stations in town, Noroton Heights serves Darien residents via the New Haven Line.…More It is 36.2 miles from Grand Central Terminal. The station has four tracks and two high-level platforms, each 10 cards long. The northern platform is utilized by Manhattan-bound trains; the southern platform is generally used by outbound trains. The two inner tracks are used by express trains only.
Parking at the station is limited and offered by permit only. Parking spaces are in high demand though, and the waiting list is many-years long. All 772 spaces are owned by the state.
There is no staffed ticket office at Noroton Heights Station, but there two ticket machines. Fares from both the Darien stations to Grand Central are the same, but they are significantly higher when purchased on-board. You can also purchase your tickets online at mta.info.
