Lovello. His department has 51 officers, and operates with the support of civilian employees, special officers, school crossing guards and traffic agents and an emergency response team and dive team.<br><br>There are many divisions in the department including records, detective, traffic, marine, and a domestic violence liaison. There is also an Emergency Response team that is specially trained to deal with critical incidents such as terrorist activities.<br><br>Darien Police patrol in marked and unmarked vehicles, on motorcycle, on bicycles and on foot. It also maintains a fleet of 18 motorboats, two motorcycles, a patrol boat and an emergency response vehicle.
