Megan Abrahamsen, Neighbor

I grew up in Wilton (from 3rd grade through high school) and recently moved back to the area with my husband and our two boys (4 and 6 years old).

I spent years working in retail in New York City but gave up the commute and working in a corporate environment when my first son was born.  However, in the fall of 2010, I was inspired to create my own business: www.bluestarbazaar.com.  Blue Star Bazaar is an online boutique which offers gifts and accessories for women and kids.  I try to find unique products that I can offer at a good value.  Basically, the things I would want to give as gifts to my family and friends.

I try to fit my business in around the schedule of my family.  We enjoy being outdoors, both locally (hiking the town forest, playing at Merwin Meadows, sledding at Rolling Hills) and on the road (Vermont, my husband's homestate of Colorado, or my parents' home in North Carolina).  We also try to take advantage of all the great local resources at our fingertips like the Wilton Library, Maritime Center, and Stepping Stones.  You will often find me between these activities at Starbucks - feeding my caffeine addiction.
