About Nancy
Nancy Burton, history columnist for Darien Patch, has a degree in journalism from New York University. She has worked as a reporter for The Associated Press in New York City and published numerous magazine articles. She has a lifelong interest in history and was a graduate student in Historic Preservation at Columbia University’s School of Architecture and a volunteer at the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. She published her first book in 2008, Haverhill and East Haverhill, in the Arcadia Publishing Company’s “Images of America” series. It is a pictorial history of a small community of villages in New Hampshire.
