Begun as a small, parish pre-school in 1959, Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School (HIES) has grown into one of the largest independent schools in Metro Atlanta, and the largest Episcopal day school in the United States. A fully accredited, college-preparatory day school for boys and girls 3 years old through 12th grade, HIES occupies 49 acres, with separate Primary, Lower, Middle, and Upper School facilities, a new three-story STEM Building, fine arts building, two modern gymnasiums, and generous athletic fields and facilities.

At every level, HIES offers an enriching program based on the Episcopal education tradition of inclusion, scholarly exploration, and respect for self and others. Academic expectations are rigorous. The arts, physical education and community service are also emphasized as important aspects of each student’s development.

HIES prepares students not only for the next step in their academic careers, but also for success and satisfaction in all areas of their lives. Students develop strong foundations to address life’s challenges while pursuing personal goals and gaining valuable experience in the areas that most interest them.

The goal of Holy Innocents' Episcopal School is to provide an atmosphere that encourages students to reach their full potential and become involved and responsible citizens.
