Here is the thing= if you dont want to see a movie, you dont pay the 10 bucks per ticket. (and inRead More many towns the cost of parking.). If you want to get a cab or walk or park in a friends driveway, the 50k show is being provided for free. Lots of ways around not paying --the easiest is simply not going, like you do for a DHS football game, or the Food Fair, or any event held on private or public property. Its fine to say it's too much. Maybe the fee will allow people to park easier or that people from out of town will pay for the entertainment? I just want to head off any observations of how this is at the high school which is public property. Parking is paid for at train stations--students pay for parking at the high school--you have beach sticker parking at the public beaches --- and once again-if you dont want to pay for it--then dont go. Pretty simple.

This sounds like a good deal for a family. The fireworks have been great the last 2 years inRead More Darien. They are 100% funded by private donations - 0% tax dollars. $30 is fair.
