Stamford Restaurant Weeks continues through Labor Day. Check out a slew of restaurants serving lunch, dinner or both at lower prices.

Classically trained pianist Bonnie Leidner will be at the Darien Senior Activities Center on Edgerton Street from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday for your listening pleasure during lunch, according to the senior center's event listing on Darien Patch.

Want your kid in the Darien Library Storytimes program? Registration for Fall Session 1 ends Tuesday, Sept. 3. "Fall Session 1 Storytimes run from Monday, Sept. 9 to Friday, Oct. 18. Sign up here." -- from the Darien Library website.

"In just 15 minutes, you can learn to save a life," Darien EMS-Post 53 and the Darien YMCA promise in an announcment on Darien Patch. The training is free and open to children as well as adults. Mark your calendar for Saturday, Sept. 29. The two organizations "will present Hands for Life Darien, a day of Hands-Only CPR training [...] at the YMCA, located at 2420 Post Rd., Darien from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  The free CPR training takes only 15 minutes [...] No appointment is needed."
