Middlesex Teacher to Participate in Engineering Challenge Workshop

Middlesex Middle School Technology and Engineering Education teacher James Brochinsky has been selected to participate in the Engineering Challenge for the 21st Century Teachers' Summer Workshop 2013.  The program is sponsored by the National Science Foundation and will be held at The United States Coast Guard Academy in New London.  

This summer teacher's workshop curriculum includes, but is not limited to: 

• Problem-Based-Learning Engineering and Technology Projects                   
• Hydrogen Powered Fuel Cells                   
• Robotics                   
• Virtual Reality                   

The workshop is designed to help educators teach engineering and technical skills directly related to 21st century learning.  In addition, heavy emphasis will be placed on professional and interpersonal abilities so teachers can also help their students become better team players.
