Darien Arts Center's Winter/Spring Registration Starts Jan. 2

Students of all ages can nourish their creative side this winter and spring at the Darien Arts Center. Winter/spring registration opens January 2nd at the DAC and the full list of 2014 winter/spring classes is available for view at darienarts.org. There are a multitude of opportunities for all age groups, from infants to adults, in music, theatre, visual arts, and dance.

Whether an aspiring artist, or just a creative soul, the DAC Visual Arts Department provides unique learning experiences in drawing, painting, cartooning and sculpting for both adults and children.  Classes in watercolors, oils and acrylics are among the offerings to choose from. Vacation camps are also available.

Dance enthusiasts will find ballet, Broadway dance, modern, jazz, hip-hop and tap classes. There are also pilates classes to help develop core strength and flexibility for all levels. Martial arts classes taught by certified black belt instructors are offered for the whole family.

For those with a musical inclination, there are group singing classes, and private music lessons in piano, guitar, violin, and ukulele. Mommy, Music and Me classes are for infants up to 2 years old and there is a drop off music class for ages 5 to 6.

For children, pre-k through 8th grade, there are many theatrical opportunities including drama classes, a musical theatre production class and “Think on your Feet Improv”.  Craft, clay and dance birthday parties may also be reserved. To see the full list of offerings at the DAC or to register go to darienarts.org. Founded in 1975, the Darien Arts Center (DAC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing visual and performing arts programs and events for the community. The DAC offers educational programs in Dance, Visual Arts, Music & Theatre, & special events & live theatre performances by DAC Stage.
