Darien’s Got Talent Announces Auditions

15 finalists will compete for three top prizes It’s time to stop singing in the shower, dancing in your PJs, and telling jokes to your dog!! This is your chance to show everyone just how talented you really are because it’s your turn to shine center stage, basking in the spotlight you so deserve, in the second annual “Darien’s Got Talent” competition! If you can sing, dance, do magic tricks, play an instrument, or perform just about any other talent, are between the ages of 10 and 100, and have a connection to Darien (born, schooled, work or worked in town, take lessons, or a former resident), start preparing for some awesome auditions, where the only thing you have to fear is the competition! Returning to direct the evening will be long-time Darien resident, Carole Claps who has directed, produced, performed, and taught theatre throughout Fairfield County for many years. Also returning for another turn as Music Director is Chris Coogan, the multi-talented entertainer composer, performer, teacher, choir director, and producer. To participate in “Darien’s Got Talent,” you must register online by NO LATER THAN May 23, to be eligible for an audition spot. Auditions take place Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and 2, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Darien Town Hall auditorium. Finals will take place Saturday, June 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Darien High School in front of a live audience. The winner will receive $1,500; second place $750; and $500 for third.
