Jesus the Christ, with the Rev. Jonathan Thomas at Saint Luke's Darien
What do we mean that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ? How did he fulfill the Jewish prophecies about who the Messiah would be?
The Rev. Jonathan Thomas will lead us in a dialogue about why it is important that God became human particularly in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, and what this means for Christ’s proclamation of the “Kingdom of Heaven” and God’s place for each of us within that kingdom.
Our speaker is Saint Luke’s Associate Rector for Children, Youth and Families. He earned his M.Div from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2010, and then spent a year at Virginia Theological Seminary doing a post-graduate diploma in Anglican Studies.
