Come join this exciting hike! Some of nature's tiniest vertebrates make the loudest sounds in the spring. Join our wader-clad naturalists on an evening exploration of the Nature Center's vernal pools. These shallow bodies of water form from melting snow and spring rain and are the most important breeding grounds for many of our native amphibians. Learn to identify these animals by sound and if we are lucky, by sight as well! For the more daring among us, some edible insects and Bug Juice (aka, Kool-Aid) will be available for tasting! Children should be comfortable being out in the dark in the woods. Register by April 1. Ages: Families welcome! Young children must be comfortable in the dark.. Members: $5 / Non-Members: $8... Featuring a cast of 42, 'Titanic' will play in The Kweskin Theatre Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 pm and Sunday afternoons at 2 pm, from April 1 through 30. There are two Thursday 8 pm performances April 21 and 28. There is no performance on Easter Sunday, April 24. Tickets are $28 for adults, $20 for senior citizens and $14 for students and children. Thrifty Thursday price of $18 applies to the two aforementioned performances.

Each Sunday – Join SM&NC education staff every Sunday for a hands-on, interactive exploration of many of the Museum’s favorite features! Each week will focus on a different theme and may include visits with our live reptiles or farm animals, tastings in the garden, or great arts and craft experiences. Programs will feature both staff-led and self-guided activities for all ages. Activities will run throughout the time period, so join us anytime to extend and enhance your SM&NC experience.
