Catnip Kisses & Purring Wishes Adoption Event

Strays & Others of Fairfield County will sponsor a Feline Only Adoption Day on Saturday, February 11th at Best Friends Pet Care located at 526 Main Avenue (Route 7) in Norwalk (directly next to the Department of Motor Vehicles) Come share a catnip kiss with a four-legged friend and make this Valentine’s Day an especially loving one for a kitten or cat without a home.

“Many of these poor animals have just been dumped outside when their former owners could no longer care for them,” notes Strays & Others Founder and President Claudia Weber.  “We’ve taken in many homeless cats off the street recently and our resources are stretched beyond our limits.  We could really use some help.  We’ve got skinny cats, fat cats, happy cats, playful cats, and quiet cats of all colors and ages.”

The cats are fully vetted with vaccinations, tested for Felv and FIV, spayed or neutered, microchipped and ready to be adopted.  Strays & Others is also seeking volunteers to work at their temporary cat shelter as well as for temporary Foster Homes for some of the 60+ kittens and cats in their care.

“Fostering can be a great experience for the whole family and is a wonderful way to volunteer and give back to the community,” Ms. Weber said.
