Darien author of children's book to sign copies

Mims Cushing, author of the children's picture book, "The Sleepover Surprise," will sign copies at Elm Street Books in New Canaan from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 19. The book features her three granchildren who live in Darien: Mackenzie, Kallianne and Schuyler Coughlin. It was inspired by a sleepover at Cushing's condo four years ago when the youngest child, who missed her parents, began to melt down.
