Haley Tanner will be at Barrett Bookstore to talk about her novel Vaclav & Lena which is just out in paperback. This is the first of two evening events featuring young writers who have written excellent novels that, like the popular The Book Thief, speak eloquently to all ages and are great for Book Clubs. Téa Obreht, author of The Tiger’s Wife, said "...this is an enchanting book. It's an immigrant epic, a coming-of-age story; the characters are vivid and real and beautiful."
