The Watermark at 3030 Park is pleased to announce that Darien artist Cate Leach and Greenwich artist Martha Reinken will have their work featured at ArtPlace Gallery @ The Watermark now through June 28.
Ms. Leach’s exhibit, titled “Ruminations,” was inspired by her love of lines and resolution. Leach is an award-winning artist who spent many years dancing with the New York City Ballet and often finds inspiration through music and movement.
Leach’s paintings, prints and assemblages have been exhibited at museums and galleries throughout the Northeast including the Lyman Allyn Art Museum, Housatonic Museum, and Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. In addition, Leach has showcased artwork at
LaGuardia Airport and the Prince Street Gallery in New York.

“While I enjoy painting on a large canvas, I also appreciate the sense of intimacy created using a much smaller surface,” said Leach. “My show, ‘Ruminations,’ includes several works exploring the idea of working in series.”
Ms. Reinken’s exhibit, titled “Now and Then,” was inspired by the artist’s constant awareness of the passing of time and the ephemeral quality of life. Reinken was educated at the Parsons School of Design and Illustration as well as New York University. She has had numerous private collections shown in museums and galleries across the Northeast. In addition to ArtPlace Gallery, Reinken is
affiliated with several Connecticut art societies including the Silvermine Guild and the Greenwich Art Society.
