Author Offers Free Writing Workshops in Weston

Marcelle Soviero has three workshops scheduled during March.

 

Novices and seasoned writers alike are encouraged to hone their writing skills at three free workshops being led by a local author in Weston this month. 

Marcelle Soviero, who lives in Wilton and teaches at the Westport Writers' Workshop, is teaching the workshops, which all stand alone, so those interested can attend one, two or all three.

"Everyone has a story to tell," Soviero said in a press release announcing the series. "These workshops will take participants through a step-by-step writing process."

The schedule for the workshops, which run from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Weston Public Library, is as follows:

  • Wednesday, March 13 — Journal/Memoir Writing
  • Wednesday, March 20 — Crafting Personal Essays/Memoir Writing
  • Wednesday, March 27 — Publishing Your Short or Full-Length Work

According to the release, Soviero is the award-winning author of An Iridescent Life: Essays on Motherhood and Stepmotherhood. 

Attendees are encouraged to be ready to take notes and come with a brown bag lunch. Registration is recommended.
