Darien WWII Vets Invited for V-J Day Anniversary

On Sunday, August 12, Atria Darien will observe the 67th anniversary of the end of WWII.  The guest speaker for the event will be United States Senator Richard Blumenthal.

Those in attendance to honor Darien’s WWII veterans include Congressman Jim Himes, State Senator Bob Duff, State Senator Carlo Leone and State Representative Terrie Wood.

A proclamation will be read by Darien First Selectman Jayme Stevenson.  Singer and pianist Joe Holmes will provide entertainment.  Refreshments will be served. 

Atria Darien welcomes all Darien WWII veterans to this special event.  Please RSVP to 203-662-1090.
