Looking for a Purr-fect Way to Help Homeless Cats and Dogs?

Participate in a FONDUE-Raiser at The Melting Pot of Darien

The Melting Pot of Darien will hold a FONDUE-Raiser on October 24, 2013 from 5 – 10 p.m., to benefit -Friends of Felines and Outreach for Pets in Need (OPIN), two local organizations that provide shelter, medical care and affection to homeless pets in Fairfield County. During this special event, guests will have an opportunity to savor a special four-course fondue meal while knowing a portion of the meal proceeds will go directly to these animal rescue programs.

“We are very excited to partner with The Melting Pot of Darien as the restaurant has generously pledged to donate a percentage of dinner sales to help homeless cats and dogs in our community,” said Roxy Waters, Fundraising Coordinator and Volunteer of Friends of Felines. “This is a fun fundraising event where people share communal pots of cheeses and chocolates while learning about local animals that are in need of forever homes.”

The FONDUE-ly delicious four-course menu for this benefit dinner is just $44.95 per person (Vegetarian option is only $39.95 per person).  For every prix fixe meal purchased, the restaurant will donate $5 to the two local animal rescue organizations.

In conjunction with the dinner, there will be table set-up of literature about Friends of Felines and OPIN with volunteers available to discuss the good things happening at the organizations.  OPIN will also bring along a special canine friend that is currently available for adoption.

Anyone wishing to dine at The Melting Pot of Darien for this FONDUE-Raiser should make reservations by calling the restaurant (after noon) at 203-656-4774. The Melting Pot, located at 14 Grove Street, in Darien, is situated near a large parking lot and walking distance from the Metro North train station.
