Patch runs down a few of the corridor's best places to stop, sample, and sip.
We're officially into the dog days of summer, which means perhaps those steamy hours on the beach or the golf course are starting to lose some of their early summer luster.
So as the jellyfish make their annual August trek into the area's waters, and the golf courses turn that unpleasant brown hue, let us suggest taking a day trip through Fairfield County and stopping to nosh at a few places along the way.
Culinary and beverage options abound along the Route 7 corridor, of course. But knowing which ones to pick to find the best bites for the fewest bucks is priceless information.
