Darien Artist's Works to be Auctioned at STAR Gala

Norwalk-based , is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities.

According to the release, the event will be similar to the "STARS on Parade" project 10 years ago, when large fiberglass star sculptures were decorated by outstanding local artists and auctioned at the 50th Anniversary Celebration and Gala Dinner at . Many of these sculptures are still on display in Fairfield County towns, including Darien.

For this event the artists have painted porcelain plates in a STAR theme or theme of their choice. The plates will be fired and finished by Wirth-Salander Ceramics and formed into cake plates, according to the release.
