  •  Hearts of Hope Women’s Reception on March 21: Hosted by the The Bridgeport Rescue Mission at the . "The Bridgeport Rescue Mission provides food, shelter, clothing, education, job training, and residential discipleship for the urban poor and addicted in Fairfield County.  The Hearts of Hope Women’s Reception benefits the Mission's long-term recovery program and emergency shelter for women in our area.  The reception features guest speaker author Ellie Lafaro, whose humorous and heartfelt literary work have appeared in several periodicals as well as in five books including Spaghetti for the Soul and From Battle Scars to Beauty Marks."—from
