Budget Meeting: The Representative Town Meeting will hold its annual budget session tonight at 8:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Included on the agenda:

  • A 2011-12 operating budget of $115,112,290 — $38,798,485 for the municipal side and $76,313,805 for the Board of Education — plus a resulting 12.20 mill rate.
  • $5,863,919 in additional appropriations from other town funds.
  • A special appropriation of $210,000 to cover a projected shortfall in the Board of Education's 2010-11 budget.

Boards and Commissions: Also meeting at Town Hall today are the Beautification Commission (9:00 a.m., room B-3), the RTM Public Health & Safety Committee (7:00 p.m., room 213), and the RTM Public Works Standing Committee (7:15 p.m., room B-3).
