Two Stratford men were arrested New Year's Day in Orange when they allegedly got a bit too boistrious in their celebrating. One man allegedly fired off his .40-caliber Sig Saur handgun 14 times to welcome the new year, while the other, who was already on probation, was in possession of crack cocaine, according to police.

Stamford Police made an arrest this week in connection with an incident in which a man allegedly resolved a dispute by firing a gun into the ceiling of a restaurant vestibule. The man charged with the alleged crime was in possession of a pistol permit and several guns, police said.

A Hamden man shoveled an elderly woman's driveway—then snuck into her house and stole her pocketbook off the kitchen table, according to police.
