Only 30 Darien Residents Still Without Power [UPDATED]

A powerful storm knocked out power to thousands across the state; Metro-North's New Haven line service in Noroton Heights, Darien and Rowayton has been restored.

Only 30 town residents are without power as of 8:28 a.m., according o the Connecticut Light & Power outage map.

A powerful storm that moved through the state last night has left thousands across Connecticut without power Thursday morning.

According to the Connecticut Light & Power outage map, currently 586 customers in Darien are without power as of 2:32 p.m. That's about 7 percent of their 7,189 users.

Metro-North has reported that New Haven line service in Noroton Heights, Darien and Rowayton, has been restored following this morning's wire issues due to "the impact of the extremely cold temperatures on our tracks and signal system."
