Five Darien Spots to Dine at for Valentine's Day

Sushi, chocolate-covered strawberries, and panang curry round out the list.

In this week's edition of Patch Picks, we round up Darien's most romantic restaurants for Valentine’s Day (Monday, Feb. 14) or Valentine’s Day weekend (Feb. 11 and 12). If you're in a romantic mood, try a dinner at one of these local hotspots.

Ten Twenty Post (1020 Boston Post Road, Darien; 203-655-1020; www.tentwentypost.com) — Solid, red-brick exterior, red-leather banquettes, and dark wood tables help create a cozy environment in this big, open space. Diners can enjoy an eclectic French-American menu.

The Goose (972 Boston Post Road, Darien; 203-656-2600; thegoosedarien.com) — Warm up with savory entrees like lobster mac and cheese and slow-roasted beef Bourguignon in this dimly lit bar-restaurant.

The Melting Pot (14 Grove Street Plaza, Darien; 203-656-4774; http://www.meltingpot.com) — If the taste of strawberries dipped in melted molten chocolate weren’t romantic enough, from Friday to Tuesday, this heartwarming spot is offering a special four-course Valentine’s Day menu for $64.99 to $74.99. The special includes a complimentary tableside photo.
