To the editor:
We are writing to support Shannon Silsby for the Board of Education.
Having known Shannon for almost ten years as friend, neighbor and co-volunteer on several school and community associations, we have experienced first hand how effective Shannon is at setting and meeting goals.
She has an amazing ability to view the whole picture and yet does not lose track of the finer details.
Shannon gives her full attention to what is happening. She is a good listener and has an incredible ability to absorb important points. Shannon is a true team player who is always willing to do her share, and much more.
With four school-aged children, Shannon will also be a parent directly in touch with all school levels during her time on the Board of Ed, giving her personal insight and understanding of what all of our children truly need.
We believe that Shannon Silsby will do an outstanding job for Darien and feel genuinely enthusiastic in backing her election!
