Revolting Pirates! Pirates, Marauders and Privateers of the Long Island Sound
On Sunday, March 9 from 2-4:30 at the Darien Historical Society, school-aged listeners will step into authentic pirate tales, participate in pirate-themed games and crafts, all the while learning local Pirate History.
Pirate performers Jonathan Kruk and Rich Balla will tell tales of Captain Kidd, the first Pirate to bury his treasure. According to legend, Kidd left ghosts to guard the treasure in over
forty locations along the Long Island Sound. Kruk and Balla perform together as
the Hudson River Ramblers doing interactive stories and songs. Together
they have performed for the New York Historical Society, the Norwalk Oyster
Festival and countless schools, historic sites and
libraries.
