Sound Off!

Tired of hearing that faith is the answer to human questions, and believe that human application of reason and compassion provides our best solutions? Then the “Sound Off” event of the Humanists and Freethinkers of Fairfield County (HFFC) Monday, January 13 is the place to be. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Silver Star Diner at 210 Connecticut Ave. in Norwalk. Attendees will have the chance to listen or participate, with food and beverages available.

Each Sound Off can be up to eight minutes long, leaving two minutes for questions and comments. For example, a topic could be the so-called “war on Christmas” as a bogus attack on things that should be kept secular. To Sound Off to an interested and sympathetic audience, send your Sound Off topic to Jason.cutler@outlook.com.

Attendance is open to first-timers at no charge, or free with membership of $15 for the year.

The Humanists and Freethinkers of Fairfield County is a group of people who combine reason with compassion, integrating modern understanding of the world with an affirmative life view. For more information on HFFC, visit http://www.meetup.com/Humanists-and-Freethinkers-of-Fairfield-County-HFFC/.
